Xiaomi 6mm Magnetic Power Bank 5000mAh with 15W Wireless Charging

Xiaomi announced the Jinshajiang (Jinsha River) Magnetic Ultra-Thin Power Bank 5000 (15W) in China, a 6 mm-thick, 5000 mAh unit with 15W magnetic wireless charging and 22.5W USB-C wired output. It can power two devices at once and is priced at CNY 299. Global availability isn’t confirmed.

Xiaomi Power Bank 5000mAh: Specs and Features

  • Name: Xiaomi Jinshajiang Magnetic Ultra-Thin Power Bank 5000 15W.
  • Size/weight: 98.5 × 71.5 × 6.0 mm; ~98 g.
  • Outputs: up to 15W magnetic wireless; up to 22.5W USB-C wired; supports dual-device simultaneous charging.
  • Battery tech: Xiaomi’s “Jinshajiang” high-energy-density cell; same family used in Xiaomi 17 series with 16% silicon content in phones.
  • Price: CNY 299 (≈ $42).
  • Launch context: Announced alongside Xiaomi 17 series and other accessories during Lei Jun’s annual event.

Design, Charging Speeds, and Battery Cell

Xiaomi’s new 5000 mAh accessory focuses on pocketability: at just 6 mm, it’s markedly thinner than many earlier Xiaomi magnetic power banks sold globally at ~8.7 mm. The trade-off aims to keep a flat profile on modern phones while still providing a meaningful top-up.

Charging flexibility is a key pitch. The pad supplies up to 15W magnetic wireless charging for compatible phones, while the USB-C port can push up to 22.5W to a second device. Xiaomi and Chinese tech press say the bank can charge two devices at once (wired + wireless).

Xiaomi ties the slimness to its in-house “Jinshajiang” cell line. The company has been highlighting higher energy density silicon-carbon anode chemistry in its 17-series phones (citing 16% silicon content there). The power bank appears to use a phone-grade cell from the same family, which helps explain the 6 mm body.

Xiaomi’s Announcement

During Lei Jun’s annual talk, Xiaomi introduced a “newly designed magnetic power bank” with 5000 mAh capacity, 6 mm body, 15W wireless output, full compatibility with the iPhone 17 lineup, and a 299-yuan price.

What It Means for Buyers

For iPhone and Android users who prefer a flatter battery pack, Xiaomi’s 6 mm profile may be the draw. The mix of 15W magnetic charging and 22.5W USB-C keeps it useful beyond MagSafe-style phones handy for earbuds or a secondary handset.

What we don’t know yet: Xiaomi hasn’t announced global rollout. Historically, Xiaomi has sold different magnetic power banks outside China with slightly different dimensions and outputs, so the 6 mm model may stay China-only or arrive later under a different name. We’ll track listings on Xiaomi Global and regional stores.

Xiaomi Power Bank Price, Release Date, and Availability

  • Announced in China: September 25, 2025 (Lei Jun Annual Speech).
  • China price: CNY 299.
  • Sales window: TBA for the power bank; Xiaomi 17 phone sales begin September 27, 2025, in China (same launch wave).
  • Global launch: Not announced.
