OPPO says its next flagship duo, the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro, will arrive in India next month. China launch is set for Oct. 16. The phones will run MediaTek’s new Dimensity 9500 and ship with ColorOS 16.

The partnership was announced at India Mobile Congress 2025. OPPO also highlighted a Hasselblad imaging kit for the Pro model. Some specs are confirmed, others are still reported by the press. We separate the two below.

When is the Find X9 launching in India

    • China: Oct. 16.
    • India: next month. OPPO has not shared a specific date yet.
    • Expect pre-orders to open soon after the China event, with first sales within weeks.

    What Dimensity 9500 brings

MediaTek’s 9500 is built on a 3 nm process and uses an “all big core” setup. In plain English, it skips tiny efficiency cores and leans on bigger cores that can idle low and boost high. The layout pairs one ultra core at 4.21 GHz with three premium and four performance cores. The GPU is Arm’s new G1-Ultra.

MediaTek’s own numbers claim up to 32 percent higher single-core performance over last year, around 17 percent higher multi-core, and about 33 percent higher peak GPU performance. Power use is said to drop significantly at peak, which may help sustained frame rates and cooler hands. Real-world results will depend on OPPO’s cooling and tuning.

What will users feel day to day?
App launches should feel snappier and heavy games may hold higher frame rates for longer. Faster storage and better power prediction in OPPO’s Trinity Engine may also help with smoothness while saving battery during mixed use.

    Cameras and the Hasselblad kit

OPPO is pushing optics again. The Find X9 Pro is set to pair a 50 MP main with a 200 MP periscope at 70 mm. OPPO has shown a Hasselblad Professional Photography Kit that attaches over the periscope to extend optical reach. Treat this as a niche tool for daylight telephoto shots and controlled setups. It will not replace a dedicated camera, but it could lift long-range detail when conditions allow.

The standard Find X9 is expected to stick to a triple camera with a 3x periscope. Sensor mix and final apertures are yet to be confirmed.

    Software and Trinity Engine

ColorOS 16, based on Android 16, comes standard on the series. OPPO’s Trinity Engine applies a “Unified Computing Power Model.” The aim is to predict power use across CPU, GPU, and memory, then schedule work to keep performance steady without spiking heat. We will test how much this helps in real use once review units arrive.

    Battery and charging

Press reports point to a major jump. The Find X9 is tipped to sit near 7,000 mAh, with the Find X9 Pro around 7,500 mAh. That would be much higher than typical 5,000 mAh flagships. Exact charging speeds are not final in public materials. Expect wired charging above 80 W and wireless charging near 50 W, based on prior OPPO flagships. Mark this section as “reported” until OPPO publishes a spec sheet.

    RAM, storage, and colors

OPPO and partner reports say the series will offer up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. Colors include Frosty White, Velvet Titanium, and Chasing Red, with Fog Black available on the base Find X9.

When is OPPO Find X9 launching in India?

OPPO says the Find X9 and X9 Pro will arrive in India next month. China gets them first on Oct. 16. India pre-orders are likely to follow soon after the China event, with sales within weeks. Exact India dates and pricing are yet to be announced.

    What is MediaTek Dimensity 9500?

Dimensity 9500 is MediaTek’s 3 nm flagship chip with one 4.21 GHz ultra core, three premium cores, and four performance cores plus a new G1-Ultra GPU. MediaTek claims up to 32 percent higher single-core and 33 percent higher GPU performance, with notable power savings versus last year.

What makes the Find X9 Pro camera different?

The Find X9 Pro pairs a 50 MP main with a 200 MP 70 mm periscope and supports an optional Hasselblad imaging kit that extends optical reach. It is aimed at long-range daylight shots and creative use, not as a full camera replacement.

Are the 7,000 mAh and 7,500 mAh batteries confirmed?

Not yet. Multiple outlets report these capacities, but OPPO has not posted an official spec sheet. Treat battery figures as reported until certification or launch materials confirm them.
